Hey Pals!
My name is Josh, and I am very excited to join the Abolition Lab team as an assistant this year! I am in my third year at Knox, and I am from Centennial, Colorado. I am a history major with a minor in Peace & Justice Studies. On campus, I am involved in so many things (oh, where to begin???) I serve on the executive team of Blessings in a Backpack, spend my time at Dungeons and Dragons Club, and surf the radio waves on WVKC. Academically, I focus on Jewish history and the general intersectionality between government institutions and oppression. For my Peace & Justice minor, I have had the privilege to work closely with Professor Leanne Trapedo Sims in her work at the local Henry Hill Correctional Facility.
As a new member of the lab, I am very excited to engage with my fellow peers to learn together how we can digitize the humanities! I enjoy learning new things and I am very interested in discovering new ways for our work to be presented with the advancement of technology. Not to mention I love talking about history!
I look forward to working with all of you! Don’t be afraid to stop by and say hello 🙂
