About the Lab
The “Abolition for All Time” Humanities Lab at Knox College is a space that invites faculty, staff, and students from all disciplines and all skill levels to produce projects that re-examine the theme of “abolition” as both a historical legacy of the College and as an urgent concern for its present and future. Our lab is open to anyone looking to learn and build diverse projects using cutting-edge digital and creative skills.
Supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation’s “Humanities for All Times” grant, the Abolition Lab specializes in the development of new courses, course projects, program initiatives, and student mentorship with faculty experts.
Faculty, staff, and students affiliated with the lab, students in courses pursuing lab projects, and anyone interested in digital humanities are invited to use the lab and its resources. For more information, please visit the lab on the first floor of Seymour Library or contact us to set up an appointment.
